Recently, the acclaimed actor, writer, producer, and filmmaker stole hearts and minds with his genius new seriesThe Studio, which went on to become themost-nominated first-season comedy in the awards' history, with an eye-watering 23 total nominations. On review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes,Season 2 has earned an early perfect score of 100% from critics, albeit from just 18 reviews thus far.

InJeff Ewing’sreview of Season 2for Collider, he agreed with the high praise of Rotten Tomatoes critics and awarded it a 9/10, citing Rogen and Byrne’s performances, successful laugh-out-loud gags, and stronger arcs for supporting characters as positives. “Just as balancing platonic, too-close friendships against one’s romantic relationships is difficult, so are the myriad perils of adulthood,” Ewing wrote. “Platonicsuccessfully finds fresh material thatutilizes the relatable circularity of adult crisesin memorable new ways, punctuated by smartly written dialogue and memorable laugh-out-loud moments.”
