I’m not usually one to get super excited about toys/action figures/collectibles, butMondo’sBatman: The Animated Seriesfigure looks like something else. First of all, it’s relatively affordable, but beyond that, it’s an absolute must-have for diehardB:TASfans. Okay, so Bats has his standard accessories in the regular figure: Batarangs, gas-powered grappling hook, and gas mask. But he also comes with rather cheeky additions, like a Bat Thermos and various swap-out heads with different expressions that are just downright delightful. Things get even better when you check out the deluxe edition, which is just $25 more.
This version digs a bit deeper into the show’s pop culture context, past and present. Is that some sort of cybernetic Batman head we see? Why, yes! It’s the Bruce Wayne/Batman replica bot constructed by H.A.R.D.A.C. in “His Silicon Soul”! (Thanks to good guyPhil Wredefor the …“heads up”!) Beyond that, the deluxe edition also features the meme-worthy “thumbs up” hand, a windswept cape, and red goggles, to name a few. This isverycool stuff for those who are in the know.
