Zack Snyder’sBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justicesees a battle between the Dark Knight and Man of Steel in theaters this weekend. But, according to a new survey conducted by Fandango (viaDeadline), audiences are more exciting by the prospect of seeing someone who’s not even in the title, Diana Prince.
Gal Gadotmakes her debut as Wonder Woman in the film, and 88% of those surveyed were excited to see the character finally realized on the silver screen. Meanwhile, 60% of fans were enticed byJesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor. Of this survey pool, 82% sawMan of Steel, 66% are fans of his Snyder’s body of work, and 61% said they’d seeBatman v Supermanmore than once. Speaking more generally to Fandango’s viewership, the film is currently at a 98% want-to-see.

Batman v Supermanbrings backHenry Cavillas the Kryptonian strongman for a story that sees him at odds withBen Affleck’s Bruce Wayne. Manipulated by Luthor, the two have their own Clash of the Titans while the villain plots his own business with Doomsday, a monstrous abomination made from the remains of General Zod’s corpse. Clearly, there’s a lot going on and Wonder Woman rises above all of it.
The film broke records forFandango’s pre-ticket sales, butthe first reviewshave, in general, found little to like about this take on the DC material. Many, including our own Matt Goldberg, pointed to Gadot’s performance as one of the more enjoyable parts, but the film still sits at 38% with 95 reviews atRotten Tomatoes.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, also featuringAmy Adamsas Lois Lane,Laurence Fishburneas Perry White, andDiane Laneas Martha Kent, this theaters this weekend. Gadot will headline theWonder Womanfilm next year before the debut ofJustice League: Part One.
