In today’sCollider Kidssegment, we’re happy to share an exclusive image and clip with you from the Disney Channel’s upcoming, holiday-themedMickey Mouseshort titled “Carnaval.” In the short, Mickey races to save Minnie after her feathered costume takes flight during Rio’s Carnaval. It features an original score by Emmy-nominated composerChristopher Williswho created unique musical styles for these shorts. The music of “Carnaval” is unique to Brazilian culture, entirely in Portuguese, and spotlights native Brazilian singers. The short premieres onSaturday February 3rd at 8:25AMon Disney Channel, and you can get an exclusive sneak peek at the colorful, musical story below!

The multiple Emmy Award-winning series will feature another holiday-themed short “Year of the Dog” on February 10th. Willis' “Year of the Dog” soundtrack uses over 20 traditional Chinese instruments and airs in celebration of Chinese New Year on February 16th.
Disney Junior Renews ‘Vampirina’ for Season 2
Disney Junior has ordered a second season ofVampirina, starringLauren Graham,James Van Der BeekandIsabella Crovettias the Hauntley family, friendly vampires who have recently relocated from Transylvania to Pennsylvania. The first vampire series for preschoolers,Vampirinablends spooky fun, heartfelt storytelling and Broadway-caliber music and follows Vampirina (aka “Vee”) as she faces the joys and trials of being the new kid in town, including making friends and attending a new school in the human world.
Joe D’Ambrosia, senior vice president, Original Programming, Disney Junior, said, “Vampirina’s relatable experience of a young girl trying to adapt and blend in with her new schoolmates, while also celebrating her own uniqueness, has resonated with our audience of young kids and families. The Adventures of Puss in BootsSeason 6 premiered on Friday, January 26th on Netflix. The Emmy-winning series stars the voices ofEric Bauzaas Puss andJayma Maysas Dulciena.
This season, the fate of San Lorenzo, and the world is in the paws of Puss in Boots. Even though Puss was able to block the passageway to the Netherworld, the portal is creating a series of earthquakes that threatens the lives (and sanity) of the townspeople. Puss vows to end the quakes, but keeps getting distracted by the usual stuff - sky pirates, the town being overrun by ghosts, and conned out of his boots by an evil panther. Ultimately, Puss is going to have to face his greatest challenge and make a huge sacrifice to stop the earthquakes and fulfill his promise to keep San Lorenzo safe.
