Clown in a CornfieldandDangerous Animalshave both enjoyed tremendous runs thus far, but they’ve still got another very important stop to make. Both movies will be available to stream on Shudder this summer.

Clown in a Cornfieldis directorEli Craig’s big-screen adaptation ofAdam Cesare’s 2020 novel. Douglas leads the film as Quinn Maybrook, a teenager who’s forced to move from the big city to the tiny town of Kettle Springs, where her dad (Aaron Abrams) becomes the new town doctor. As though being the new girl at school isn’t hard enough, just when Quinn thinks she might have found a group of friends, she comes to learn they’ve all got targets on their backs. The teens of Kettle Springs are being hunted by a killer clown, the town’s mascot, Frendo.
After receiving a warm embrace from theSXSW 2025 crowdduring its world premiere screening,Clown in a Cornfieldwent on to earn IFC Entertainment Group its biggest opening weekend at the box office ever. Come August 8, Frendo’s following will grow when the film hits both AMC+ and Shudder.
Soon after the release ofClown, it was time to gear up for the release of yet another genre gem,Dangerous Animals, directed bySean Byrne(The Loved Ones,The Devil’s Candy). Harrison stars in the film as Zephyr, a loner from the United States who’s in Australia to surf and embrace a free-spirited lifestyle. Trouble is, thenJai Courtney’s Tucker comes along. A seemingly innocuous encounter with Tucker turns deadly when Zephyr comes to learn that “Tucker’s Experience” isn’t designed to give tourists an unforgettable cage-diving experience, but rather, a front that affords him a steady stream of victims to record as he feeds them to the sharks.
LikeClown in a Cornfield,Dangerous Animalsalso enjoyed a festival embrace, but at the Cannes Film Festival. Soon after, the movie hosted one of the most incredible promotional screenings - “Dangerous Animalson the Water,” an event during which moviegoers literally watched the film on the water while floating in inner tubes. After that, the film had its big screen release and now it’s readying to be a summer streaming hit on Shudder.
