What might be the next project fromConclavedirectorEdward Bergerjust took a huge step forward. Deadline is reporting that Berger is teaming up withBrad PittforThe Riders, a new film fromA24that’s based on the popular novel byTim Winton.David Kajganichhas been tapped to write the screenplay. The novel follows Fred Scully (Pitt), a man who lands in Ireland with his wife and daughter on a mystical whim to buy an old farmhouse. His wife, Jennifer, and their daughter, Billie, return to Australia, but only Billie comes back to Ireland with no explanation. It’s here that Scully’s life begins to fall apart as he grapples with the sudden and unexpected loss of his wife. Additional casting for the film is ongoing.

Brad Pitt is on something of a hot streak lately. His next film,F1, is due in theaters on June 27, and it comes fromTop Gun: MaverickdirectorJoseph Kosinski. The film promises to deliver a racing experience drenched in realism that will have audiences on the edge of their seat. It was also reported not long ago thatPitt would star in a sequel toOnce Upon a Time… in Hollywood, reprising his Oscar-winning role as Cliff Booth. However,Quentin Tarantinowill not return to direct the sequel and will instead be replaced byDavid Fincher. The film will likely featureLeonardo DiCaprio’s character, Rick Dalton, in a small role, if at all. Pitt will also team up withA Working MandirectorDavid AyerforHeart of the Beast, which is the same filmkeeping Ayer from returning to directThe Beekeeper 2.

‘Conclave’ Is Dominating Streaming Charts

After a successful run in theaters,Conclavebegan streaming on Peacockbefore it won an Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay. However, the film departed Peacock at the start of April, and it wasn’t until last week that it made its return to streaming thanks to Prime Video. The streamer has its hand in multiple pockets, as Paramount’sGladiator IIalso debuted on the platform at the same time asConclave. Both movies have foundsuccess streaming on Prime Videosince their debut, with each earning spots in the top five along withBen Affleck’sThe Accountant.
