Now’s the time to get on boardCostume Quest, the latest animated series fromFrederator Studios(Adventure Time,Bravest Warriors,Castlevania). Folks who have been fans of the cult hit video game since its arrival in 2010 know what viewers around the world are in store for when the show arrives onAmazon Primetomorrow, Friday, March 8th, but we have an extra little tease for the show to share with you today.

The original game concept forCostume Questwas created by staffers at Double Fine Productions in one of their sessions they call“Amnesia Fortnights,” where small groups come up with prototypes for potential video games. Then, bucking the usual trend of multi-year development, theCostume Questgame was fully completed within 12 months. The award-winning game’s real hook was its story about four kids facing off against the dark forces lurking in the shadows of their sleepy town of Auburn Pines. To overcome obstacles and achieve their goals, they must learn to unlock and master the magical powers of super-normal costumes, each with a new set of transformations and powers.

Originally created byTasha Sounart, a Double Fine alum who is now at Pixar, and co-written by Double Fine CEO and founderTim Schafer, the game will now move into animated series territory thanks in part to the executive producing team at Frederator Studios includingWill McRobb(Adventures of Pete & Pete), who also serves as story editor and one of the executive producers.Costume Questis a funny and mysterious animated series aimed at six to 11-year olds, and fans of all ages who love the video game, and we have an exclusive clip from the series for your viewing pleasure!
