First up today we’re recapping the weekend box office!Avengers: Endgametook in an estimated $63 million this weekend, which brings its domestic cume to $723.5 million, making it the fourth film ever to top $700 million domestically. Right nowEndgame’s global cume is at $2.485 billion, putting it well within reach ofAvatar’s $2.788 billion record. As forDetective Pikachu, the new Pokemon movie wound up coming in at number two with $58 million. This makesDetective Pikachuthe largest opening weekend for a video game adaptation ever, topping’sLara Croft Tomb Raider’s $47.7 million.

Second on today’s line-up isSlash Film’s update on thatHoney, I Shrunk the Kidsreboot over at Disney. ApparentlyJosh Gadis currently attached to star as Nick Szalinski, Wayne’s (Rick Moranis) son. This new movie is being dubbed a “legecyequel” because it takes place in the same world as the 1989 original and continues the overall storyline. Slash Film’s report also notes that the goal is to release this newHoney, I Shrunk the Kidsmovie, now titledShrunk, in theaters - not on the Disney+ streaming service.
