Ekin deservedly played the field in Season 7, flirting, bantering, and smooching some of the other men on the cast. It’s quite literally how the show works, but Davide wasn’t having any of it. He famously yelled at her, “You are a liar! Actress! Go the f*ck out! [sic]” but they eventually got back together. The line lit up the Internet and Davide gleefullyquoted it to death to appease fans, but later on left Ekin devastated after rumors swirled of his infidelities and mistreatment of her.

He’s maintained the same persona quite consistently: an earnest, insistent romantic. While he has all the trappings of a loverboy, including his professional dancing career, his knowingly corny lines, and his persistent acts of kindness, maybe people have written him off as being a people pleaser because he tells women what they want to hear.
The Trouble With Curtis
During Series 5, he was coupled up with ingenueAmy Hart, and they were a classic theater kid couple.He fed her cheesy lines and told her everything she wanted to hear, making her his “half girlfriend” from the beginning. However, Curtis insisted on being the one to make everyone in the Villa their morning coffee instead of cuddling in bed with Amy, despite her protests. The initialwarning signs of needing everyone to like himdespite his partner’s feelings were a red flag to audiences, and his wandering eye eventually got the best of him whenhe cozied up toMaura Higginsduring Casa Amor.
This season ofLove Island: All Stars,Curtis repeated history by marketing himself as not “closed off” to bombshellDanielle Sellers. He played with both of their feelings, leaving Ekin so upset she sloshed water all over him. Curtis eventually chose Ekin, despite her saying she never wanted to speak to him again. During Curtis’ time on reality television, he has shown time and again his failings when it comes to commitment and people gloss over it claiming that he’s a “people pleaser.”Saying he “feels bad” even feels insincere, because if he really felt bad, he wouldn’t have portrayed himself as single to Danielle to begin with.
Curtis' wandering eye is superseding his capacity to be an adult.To chalk it up as “people pleasing” is an insult to Ekin and, frankly, to people pleasers as well because Curtis really isn’t one. He’s a player who is too cowardly to stand in his feelings. If he really were a “people pleaser,” he wouldn’t be causing unnecessary drama, and he would be “pleasing” millions of viewers and Ekin’s massive fanbase by being decent to her to begin with. He laid both Ekin and the public’s trust in him on the line just for fleeting validation from Danielle, and it’s tough to give him the benefit of the doubt because he’s pulled this stunt before. Ekin can do better andwilldo better, but likely won’t be on a dating show.
