Since announcing aGilmore Girlsrevival series is coming to Netflix, the streaming service has wasted no time in bulking up the cast around the Gilmore family ofAlexis Bledel(Rory),Lauren Graham(Lorelai), andKelly Bishop(Emily). While series regularsSean Gunn(Kirk),Keiko Agena(Lane), and of courseScott Patterson(Luke) havealready been announced, Netflix continues to add cast members by the day – and most of them are former beaus.
According to a press release, reprisals are coming fromMilo Ventimigliaas Jess Mariano,Matt Czuchryas Logan Huntzberger,Liza Weilas Paris Geller, andYanic Truesdaleas Michel Gerard (who also recently tweeted aphoto from the set). Plot details on the revival are still under wraps, but, based on the casting, it seems like Rory will be having some drama with her exes. We also know that each episode will take place over the four seasons of the year, beginning with winter.

UPDATE:Varietyis reporting thatJared Padaleckiwill also be returning as Rory’s first love Dean, making the trifecta of Rory’s great loves on the series complete. As for Lorelai, it looks likeDavid Sutcliffe(who played Rory’s father) Chris is also returning. Less excited for that (hopefully he’s just visiting).
Unfortunately,Melissa McCarthy’s Sookie is still not confirmed for the revival series, although McCarthy recently tweeted (somewhat controversially) thatshe hasn’t even been asked, which goes against what showrunnerAmy Sherman-Palladinosaid earlier about the casting process. Drama! Also unconfirmed to return isJohn Cabrera’s Brian Fuller, but the actor tweeted about his excitement for the revival, so don’t rule him out.

The official title and release date for the series has yet to be confirmed, but we know it will include four, 90-minute episodes. The series is the latest in a new age of revivals that also includesThe X-Fileson Fox, and other Netflix revivalsArrested DevelopmentandFuller House. Stay tuned for more, as more Gilmore news seems to be breaking just about every day.
