The newHellboyuses a script that’s described as a “true collaboration” between screenwriterAndrew CosbyandHellboycomic creatorMike Mignola. There are scenes and dialogue that come straight from the source material, but there are also elements that deviate from the comics, likeDaniel Dae Kim’s role in the film. In the comics, Kim’s character Daimio and Hellboy never even share a page but in the film, Hellboy (David Harbour) reluctantly joins forces with the BPRD team commander in an effort to put a stop toMilla Jovovich’s Nimue, The Blood Queen.

Hellboyis due out in theaters on April 12th so I recently got to sit down with Kim and opted to play a round of Collider’s “Would You Rather.” Find out if Kim would rather do performance capture or wear a ton of prosthetics, if he’d rather eat or run in a scene, if he’d rather see anotherHawaii Five-0remake or a remake ofLost, and much more! You can catch it all in the video interview at the top of this article and, in case you missed it,click herefor my chat with Harbour andhereto watch Jovovich play some “Would You Rather,” too.

Here is the official synopsis forHellboy:

Hellboy is back, and he’s on fire. From the pages of Mike Mignola’s seminal work, this action packed story sees the legendary half-demon superhero (David Harbour, “Stranger Things”) called to the English countryside to battle a trio of rampaging giants. There he discovers The Blood Queen, Nimue (Milla Jovovich,Resident Evilseries), a resurrected ancient sorceress thirsting to avenge a past betrayal. Suddenly caught in a clash between the supernatural and the human, Hellboy is now hell-bent on stopping Nimue without triggering the end of the world.
