With co-writer/directorWill Gluck’sPeter Rabbitopening in theaters this weekend, I recently sat down withJames Cordenfor an exclusive video interview. He talked about how honored he was to voicePeter Rabbit, what people would be surprised to learn about the recording process, getting to work withSandra BullockinOcean’s 8, if he prefers doing the interview or being interviewed, and a bit on the behind-the-scenes on the making ofThe Late Late Show with James Corden.
If you’re not familiar withPeter Rabbit, the film is based on the classic books byBeatrix Potter, and features the voices ofJames Corden,Margot Robbie,Daisy Ridley,Elizabeth Debicki,Matt LucasandSam Neill. The film is about Peter Rabbit (Corden) trying to get his hands on the vegetables in the garden next to where his family lives. Unfortunately, except for one sweet animal lover (Rose Byrne), the family running the garden (Domhnall Gleeson) wants nothing to do with the local rabbits, and their cantankerous relationship eventually comes to a head.

Check out what he had to say in the player above and below is exactly what we talked about followed by the synopsis.

Here’s the official synopsis forPeter Rabbbit:
Peter Rabbit, the mischievous and adventurous hero who has captivated generations of readers, now takes on the starring role of his own irreverent, contemporary comedy with attitude. In the film, Peter’s feud with Mr. McGregor (Domhnall Gleeson) escalates to greater heights than ever before as they rival for the affections of the warm-hearted animal lover who lives next door (Rose Byrne). James Corden voices the character of Peter with playful spirit and wild charm, with Margot Robbie, Elizabeth Debicki, and Daisy Ridley performing the voice roles of the triplets, Flopsy, Mopsy, and Cottontail.
