I absolutely lovedJon Favreau’sTheJungle Book. The best way I can describe the film is that it’s hisAvatar– meaning a film that transports you to another time and place and something you absolutely want to see in 3D. As most of you know, the film is based on the classic animated film and focuses on Mowgli (Neel Sethi), a boy raised in the jungle by wolves, who must go on the run when he becomes hunted by the jungle’s cruel overlord, Shere Khan (voiced byIdris Elba). Loaded with incredible visual effects that have to be seen to be believed,The Jungle Bookis the type of film all ages can enjoy and I absolutely recommend checking it out this weekend when it opens in theaters. The film also features the voices ofBill Murray,Ben Kingsley,Lupita Nyong’o,Scarlett Johansson,Christopher Walken,Giancarlo Esposito, andEmjay Anthony.

Last week at the Los Angeles press day I landed an exclusive video interview with Jon Favreau. He talked about memorable moments from filming, how everyone knewJames Cameronwhen he visited the set, meeting Bill Murray and getting him to record his lines, what will be included on the eventual Blu-ray, what he collects, and more.

In addition, since the firstIron Manwas in theaters I’ve always had one issue with the film: why does Obadiah Stane (Jeff Bridgescharacter) want to kill Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) when it’s clear Stark just wants to drink, party, design weapons, and not run the company? Since Favreau directed the film, I decided to get an answer. Check out what he had to say above.
