It was a full-circle moment for the reality star, whose sisterKim Kardashianonce kicked her sisters off of a perfume deal in order to go solo. Just as Khloé was preparing to celebrate the career milestone,her ex-husband Lamar Odom resurfacedonce again this season.
It is clear from his actions since this meeting that Khloé was completely justified in her anger earlier this season when she met to return the ex-NBA star’s personal belongings. Lamar reentered Khloé’s life with an overture of gifts, calling her his wife, and making comments about how he wished she would have stuck her tongue down his throat upon first greeting. Yet, his behavior since this initial awkward meet-up has made it obvious he wanted to get back into the good graces of the famous family that once elevated his life, without really prioritizing Khloé’s needs or emotions. Khloé was right to keep her ex-husband at arm’s length, and as much as her sisters might have wished she had treated Lamar more kindly,his actions provedshe was right to maintain distance in the first place.

As Khloé,her momKris Jenner, and her best friend,Malika Haqq, were en route to the fragrance reveal party, news outlets began to release clips of an interview Lamar gave speaking about how he hadordered a sex-doll look-alike of Khloé. Lamar made the comment that it was good for his “mental health” to have this sexual outlet with an inanimate object made to look like Khloé. It’s disturbing, especially after Khloé made it more than clear in their meeting that she was not onboard with him continuing to refer to her as “his wife.“His reaction to this rejection was to brag on a podcast about owning a look-alike inanimate sex-doll of his ex-wife, which is an eerily possessive gesture.Even though Kris expressed the desire to be “less judgmental,” and ended the season encouraging Lamar with a “do you” sexually liberated attitude, it’s clear Khloé was right to keep her boundaries firm with her ex-husband.
In a confessional interview for the series, Khloé said the incident made her ex-husband look “demonic and unwell,” asking “I’m supposed to be flattered by this?” Khloé handled this news coming out just as she arrived at her fragrance launch like a complete professional, refusing to let the “weird and gross” announcement from her strangely possessive ex-husband ruin what was otherwise a “pinch me” moment for the entrepreneur.
