During the panel, Matalas — who served as showrunner on the critically acclaimed final season ofStar Trek: Picard— praised Emily Hampshire’s performance as E.D.I.T.H. Hampshire is replacingDawn Michelle King, who previously voiced the character inSpider-Man: Far From HomeandNo Way Home. In addition to being a heartfelt story about Bettany’s Vision, Matalas also teased that the series will focus on the various other AIs of Marvel, including Jacosta (Miller), who was originally constructed by Ultron to be his wife before defecting to the Avengers.

To no surprise, Matalas mentioned that he had a blast on set during production working with MCU stars Paul Bettany and James Spader, and that he can’t wait for audiences to see everything they’ve been working on. There are even whispers thatSpader will appear in human form in the show, though it’s unclear if this will be a sentient avatar or a holographic projection. Fans will just have to wait and see as we get closer to the release of the series.

Who Is the Paladin in Marvel Comics?

Similar to Star Wars' legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett, Paladin is a bounty hunter in the Marvel Comics, who also has experience as a private investigator. He has battled with Daredevil in the past and has also teamed up with characters like Spider-Man and Silver Sable — which could leave the door open for a cameo in other properties. Paladin boasts superhuman strength, speed, and stamina, and he’s a skilled martial artist and espionage agent. It’s unclear what his role will be in the series, but if he has experience as a bounty hunter, a certain S.W.O.R.D. organization could theoretically hire him to bring back the Vision.

WhileStar Trek: Legacyseems like a far-off dream now, at least Matalas and Stashwick have re-teamed on this series. Star Trek fans may even see shades of Shaw in Stashwick’s Paladin performance.
