Thanks to a set of exclusive photos from Looper.com,Tom Holland’sSpider-Man was spotted on set in full costume, sporting a back pack, giving away that even superheroes have homework. In the pics, Spider-Man appears to be readying a heroic move on the way back from school and jumping on the back of a construction truck that looks to be rigged for a major stunt.Spider-Man: Homecomingwill feature Holland,Marisa Tomei,Zendaya,Tony Revolor,Donald Glover,Michael KeatonandRobert Downey Jr.as Tony Stark. It comes to theatres July 7th, 2017.
Deadline is reporting thatDaniel Craigis in talks to star oppositeHalle BerryinMustangdirectorDeniz Gamze Erguven’sEnglish-language debutKings. The project is set against the backdrop of Los Angeles during the Rodney King trial in 1992. Craig will play Ollie, a loner living in South Centrail who befriends and falls in love with Berry’s character, a protective mother looking after her kids. When the riots explode in the city, Craig’s character helps Berry try and track down the kids from the worst of the violence, as the riots spread across L.A; lasting six days and leading to 55 deaths in the wake of the acquittal of the policemen who beat King. Erguven’s dream has been to make this movie ever since she graduated from the prestigious French Fémis film school. Her debut film, Mustang, was Oscar nominated for Best Foreign Language film and was a box office smash in France. A release date forKingshas yet to be set.
Alcon Entertainment announced yesterday thatBarkhad Abdi, who was nominated for an Academy Award for his performance inCaptain Phillips, has joined the production of the upcomingBlade Runnersequel. He joins a cast that includesHarrison Ford,Ryan Gosling,Robin Wright,Ana de Armas, andDave Bautista. TheBlade Runnersequel is set several decades after the 1982 original, with Harrison Ford reprising his iconic role as Rick Deckard. The film is written byHampton FancherandMichael Green, and is directed bySicarioandPrisonersdirectorDenis Villeneuve, reuniting him with cinematographerRoger Deakins. Principal photography is scheduled to begin in July with a release date set for July 18, 2025.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Lucasfilm presidentKathleen Kennedydropped a fairly big tidbit aboutRogue Onethat many fans missed: apparently,Rogue One: A Star Wars Storymay not include the iconic opening crawl fans have come to expect for aStar Warsuniverse film. Based on her comments to EW, however, it looks as though the discussions about it are ongoing. Kennedy said it’s something they’re discussing now, so she doesn’t want to say definitively what they’re doing. The crawl and some of those elements live so specifically within the ‘saga’ films. For now, fans will have to wait and see what the powers that be at Lucasfilm decide whenRogue One: A Star Wars Storyhits theatres on December 16th.
Daniel Radcliffeis currently making the rounds to promoteSwiss Army Manand during one of the interviews with Radio Times, he was asked if he would ever return to the Wizarding World that made him famous –Harry Potter.The question was posed whether Radcliffe would be up for playing Harry Potter again, to which he offered up if thecircumstances presented themselves. He is saying ‘no’ for now, but leaving room to backtrack in the future. For now, fans can hope that there will be a chance for Daniel Radcliffe to return as a grown-up Harry Potter and thatJ.K. Rowlingherself will write a story that will focus on his later years. Meantime you may catch Radcliffe inSwiss Army Man, playing in theatres now.
