The trailer also teases the arrival of Galactus (Ralph Ineson) while playing coy about any potential involvement from Doctor Doom (Robert Downey Jr.), who will be the feature villain in next year’sAvengers: Doomsday.During this month’s issue of Empire Magazine, directorMatt Shakmanstated that Doom won’t be inThe Fantastic Four: First Steps, but this wouldn’t be the first time a Marvel creative or actor has applied a bit of misdirection to throw off the fans.
If Doctor Doom is going to have a role inThe Fantastic Four: First Steps, it’s likely going to be in a post-credit scene. Although we can’t say for certain if he’s going to be seen beforeAvengers: Doomsday, there are plenty of names confirmed to star in the film. Leading the charge as the members of Marvel’s First Family, arePedro PascalandVanessa Kirbyas Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Woman. Starring alongside them as the group’s resident boneheads areJoseph Quinn(Stranger Things) andEbon Moss-Bachrach(The Bear), who will play The Human Torch and The Thing, respectively. The aforementioned Ineson will portray Galactus, withJulia Garnerstarring as his herald, the Shalla-Bal version of the Silver Surfer.Natasha Lyonne,John Malkovich, andPaul Walter-Hauserwill also star in the film.

How Long Is ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’?
The Fantastic Four: First Stepshas been confirmed to have a runtime of two hours and 10 minutes. This makes it the longest MCU movie of the year afterCaptain America: Brave New Worldcame in just under two hours andThunderbolts*closed out at two hours and seven minutes. However, this will likely be much shorter than the next Marvel movie, which is expected to beAvengers: Doomsday, currently slated for release on July 30, 2025. The Russo brothers, who are directingDoomsdayandSecret Wars, confirmed that the first film will be around two and a half hours, with the second clocking in at around three hours.
