Where the first (and far better) trailer forJames Mangold’sLoganset up a grim atmosphere and a haunted backstory forHugh Jackman’s titular mutant,the final trailergets more into the plot of the movie. There’s no sign ofStephen Merchant’s Caliban, nor is there any major teaser for the arrival of Mr. Sinister, one of the X-Men universe’s most imposing and powerful villains. Instead, we get a lot of the relationship between Logan, Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart), and the adolescent X-23, played byDafne Keen, and the hunt for X-23 by Donald Pierce (Boyd Holbrook) and the Reavers....

With last year’sSuspiria, directorLuca Guadagninocreated a sumptuous, sensual fever dream featuring three separate, equally dynamiteTilda Swintoncharacters and an all-time performance fromDakota Johnson. It was weird, artsy, spectacular, and roughly 17 people went to see it in theaters, not counting the friends and family screening. (That $2 million domestic box office, I cry every time.) But there’s no denying Guadagnino is still aforcebehind the camera since hisCall Me By Your Namesnagged three Oscar noms in 2017, which means the news of the filmmaker developing an eight-episode series at HBO is still highly intriguing....

Last week, when running downthe current state of the Best Actor Oscar race, I pointed out this year’s uncharacteristically weak field. Year after year, Hollywood churns out incredibly complex and engrossing roles for men that allow some of our best performers to shine, usually resulting in a highly competitive race for Best Actor. The Best Actress race, meanwhile, is a reflection of Hollywood’s lack of similar quality when it comes to female characters, as more often than not the best roles are written for men....

Unfortunately for all players who still didn’t get aPlayStation 5due to the shortage of consoles in the market, Sony doesn’t expect the situation to normalize at least until 2022. As reported byBloomberg, Sony Group Corp. warned a group of analysts, suggesting they will not be able to increase sales of the PlayStation 5 through next year, due to the lack of electronic components needed for its production. Ever since it hit the markets, in November 2020, it’s been extremely hard to buy a PlayStation 5....
