I’m told that there are no immediate plans to replace McLaughlin, and that Focus presidentRobert Walakwill continue to oversee both production and acquisitions for the studio. McLaughlin was named president of production in May 2017, when he replacedJim Burke, who also yearned to return to his previous role as producer and received a first-look deal at Focus....

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearlare off to a great start since their release in November. The holiday sales are spiking, with the remakes accumulating over 6 million sales, and that’s the global number. It also matches the worldwide sales figures ofPokémon Sword and Shieldback in 2019. In a gaming world full of remakes, it’s nice to see the nostalgicPokémonremakes be just as successful as the new installments in the series, despite initial mixed reception....
