Chad Hartiganreceived quite a lot of buzz at this year’s Sundance Film Festival forMorris from America, the tale of a father and son who transplant themselves to Germany suddenly. A lot of credit went toCraig Robinson, who plays the father, andMarkees Christmas, who plays the titular adolescent, but Hartigan’s direction was highlighted at nearly as fervent a rate as his lead performers. Give credit toSteven Soderberghfor living out on the cutting edge. I remember back when I was in college and he announced he would releaseBubblestraight to video-on-demand. There weren’t a lot of VOD platforms, and direct-to-DVD was seen as an admission of failure. But Soderbergh read the landscape correctly, and whileBubbleitself may not have been a hit, the movie was at the forefront of a VOD revolution where now studios regularly release movies to VOD, and while they may not be the cream of the crop, it’s a legitimate distribution strategy....

Today, Disney announced that the studio would be shifting their upcoming schedule, including once again pushing the theatrical release of Marvel’sBlack Widowfrom May 7 to July 9, in addition to releasing the film on Disney+ with Premier Access.Black Widowwas originally planned to come out on June 28, 2025, but has moved several times over the last year. With this newest change inBlack Widow’s release, Marvel Studios has also released a new poster for the film....

The centerpiece of Avengers Campus, dedicated to discovering, recruiting and training the next generation of Super Heroes, at Disney California Adventure is the brand-new ride WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure, and Collider got the opportunity to check out the offerings available and ride the new ride. The high-tech attraction uses innovative technology designed to interact with guest movements to allow each individual to sling webs like Spider-Man himself. The mission for riders is to team up with Spidey to help capture the Spider-Bots that have gotten completely out of control and stop them before they wreak havoc on the Campus....
