TheFire Countryuniverse expands this fall asSheriff Countryjoins the flagship series. CBS has already announced that theMorena Baccarinseries will finally premiere in the upcoming TV season, but having the show on the schedule makes it more real. The network has not made huge changes to theFire Countryschedule, with the show set to air on Fridays.Sheriff Countrywill air on the same night. Additionally,Blue Bloodsspin-offBoston Bluewill also be on the schedule.Sheriff Countrykicks off the night at 8 p.m. ET withFire Countryfollowing after in its regular time slot of 9 p.m. ET andBoston Blueat 10 p.m. ET.
Sheriff Countrystars Baccarin as straight-shooting sheriff Mickey Fox, the stepsister of Cal Fire’s division chief Sharon Leone (Diane FarrofFire Country). She investigates criminal activity while she patrols the streets of small-town Edgewater, contending with her ex-con father, Wes (W. Earl Brown), who is an off-the-grid marijuana grower, and a mysterious incident involving her wayward daughter.Other cast membersincludeMatt Lauria,Christopher Gorham, andMichele Weaver.

Boston BluestarsDonnie Wahlbergas he reprises his role as NYPD officer Danny Reagan in a universe expansion of the long-running top drama Blue Bloods. In the new drama, Reagan takes a position with the Boston PD. Once in Boston, he is paired with Detective Lena Peters (Sonequa Martin-Green), the eldest daughter of a prominent law enforcement family.Brandon SonnierandBrandon Margoliswill showrun and executive produce. Bruckheimer,KristieAnne Reed,and Wahlberg will also serve as executive producers.
The ‘Fire Country’ Universe Expands
Sheriff Countryhad been ordered to series a while ago, but was held off for the 2025-2026 season. The show has been teased in a couple ofepisodes ofFire Countryas Sheriff Fox dropped by to bust some offenders. The new show has been given an interesting time slot, serving as the lead-in toFire CountrySeason 4.
“Coming off another winning season enabled us to make bold scheduling moves and fortify our strong lineup with thematically compatible programs every night of the week for strong viewer flow and to serve as a powerful launch pad for the new shows,” CBS Entertainment presidentAmy Reisenbachsaid in a statement while announcing the new schedule. “We’re appreciative ofour loyal audienceswho regularly watch on CBS and Paramount+ and to our creative partners who continue to deliver outstanding content,” she added.
