Instead, there are an abundance of new releases coming out this Friday in a variety of genres. ‘Snow White’

Hi-ho!Snow Whiteis one of this year’s most highly anticipated Disney releases, but it has not been without itsfair share of controversy, as casting choices have been questioned for the live-action remake. This retelling of the classicBrothers GrimmfairytalestarsRachel Zegler(West Side Story)as the titular character, who flees into the forest to escape the wrath and jealousy of her stepmother, the Evil Queen, played byWonder Woman’sGal Gadot. In the forest, she stumbles across a small cottage inhabited by the Seven Dwarfs. Directed byMark Webb(500 Days of Summer),Snow Whiteintroduces some new musical numbers, like “Waiting on a Wish,” andAndrew Burnapas Jonathan, Snow White’s love interest, whose character is partially inspired by The Prince in the original animated movie. AMC theaters will be hosting a fan event for the opening night on Thursday, March 20, encouraging movie-goers to dress as their favorite Disney princess or villain and offering a free suction phone mount to turn your device into your very own magic mirror. He begins to like her posts and the two develop a friendship. Bill Skarsgårdis back in an all-new action thriller, facing up againstSir Anthony Hopkins.Similar to his role inVillains, Skarsgård isn’t entirely innocent as Eddie Barish, a car thief who finds a high-end luxury SUV left unlocked. Upon entering the car, the doors lock, and he is unable to exit. He receives a phone call on the dashboard display to learn that the owner of the car, William (Hopkins), has set an elaborate trap. William reveals that the car has reinforced windows and flooring, and is completely soundproof. He is also able to remotely control the car, tormenting Eddie with electric shocks, freezing temperatures, and blistering heat. As Eddie desperately tries to escape, he also learns a great deal about William and why he is so intent on punishment and consequences.Lockedis an English-language remakeof the 2019 Argentinian film,4x4, and is directed byDavid Yarovesky(Brightburn).

Magazine Dreamswas originally set to have atheatrical release in December 2023 but was removed from the release schedulefollowing the SAG-AFTRA strikes andcontroversies surrounding the lead actor,Jonathan Majors. The film follows amateur bodybuilder Killian Maddox (Majors) as he struggles to take care of his ailing grandfather, form human connections with others, and battle his inner demons. He aspires to become the next Mr. Olympia and be featured on the front page of magazines like his own idols but risks his own mental health and physical well-being on this quest. Majors consumed over 6,000 calories a day for four months and worked out 6 hours per day to prepare himself for the extreme physicality of the role. The attack took place on the second anniversary of the end of the WACO siege and remains the deadliest act of domestic terrorism in the United States, killing 167 people and injuring 684.Alfie Allen, known for his portrayal ofTheon Greyjoy inGame of Thrones, will take on the role of Timothy McVeigh andBrett Gelman(Stranger Things) will portray his accomplice, Terry Nichols. The Alto Knightsstars the Academy Award-winning actorRobert De Niroas 1950s crime boss, Frank Costello.He also stars in a dual roleas his best friend-turned-enemy, Vito Genovese. After Vito grows bitter and angry about their relationship, he makes an irrational decision, resulting in an attempted hit on Frank. The film focuses on the aftermath of the failed assassination and how Frank can protect his family and try to retire from that lifestyle, but when push comes to shove, the two men who once considered themselves brothers will show just how ruthless they can be.The Alto Knightsis directed byBarry Levinson, who won an Oscar for directingRain Manand also directed iconic movies likeGood Morning, Vietnam,Bugsy, andWag the Dog.

This science-fiction horror movieis set on a distant planet where Riya, played byEiza González(Baby Driver) wakes up to find all the crewmates on her space station murdered in horrific ways.
