A year from today,Spider-Man: Homecomingwill be hitting theaters, assuming everything goes according to plan with the current shoot. It’s a fact that was not lost onTom Holland, the star of the film who has already shown major chops in the role of Peter Parker, AKA Spidey, thanks to an extended cameo in this summer’s quite goodCaptain America: Civil War. In honor of being 365 days out from the release ofJon Watts' insanely anticipated reboot of the Spider Man franchise, Holland took a selfie of himself in costume, high up on a platform on the set of the film, showing off not only the familiar suit but a similarly memorable part of Spidey’s aresenal: his web shooters. you may take a look at the selfie below.
Of course, this is hardly the only tidbit of information about Watts' film, the proper follow-up to his promising breakoutCop Car, that has arrived over the last two weeks or so. Earlier this week, it was announced thatAngourie Rice, the scene-stealing young actress fromShane Black’s delightfulThe Nice Guys, hasjoined the cast of the filmin an undisclosed role. The talented actress was just the latest in a long line of talented performers who have been added to the film’s cast, withFargoSeason 2’sBokeem Woodbinejoining up last week to reportedly play one of three villains in the movie, alongsideMichael KeatonandThe InvitationstarLogan Marshall-Green.

And mind you, that’s not even touching on the additions ofDonald Glover,Broad CitystandoutHannibal Buress,Beasts of No NationstarAbraham Attah,Silicon Valley’sMartin Starr,The Grand Budapest Hotel’sTony Revolori,Zendaya, andMichael Barbieri, who is a force of nature inIra Sachs' upcomingLittle Men. If nothing else,Spider-Man: Homecomingis shaping up to be one of the most promising ensemble pictures of 2017.
