The Bold and the Beautifulis headed to Italy for another on-location shoot. This is the sixth time the CBS soap has visited the beautiful European country to highlight its fashion and fan base. Along with the change of scenery, the writers decided to focus on the never-ending love triangle between Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), and Taylor (Rebecca Budig). This time, they added Nick Marone (Jack Wagner), which ups the ante a bit.
For decades, Brooke, Ridge, and Taylor have been back and forth onThe Bold and the Beautiful. He’s been married to and shares children with both women. Ridge and Brooke most recently reunited in Rome, Italy, two years ago, and a repeat can be seen coming a mile away. The writers have been dragging out the love triangle for decades, continuing to write dialogue that suggests Brooke and Ridge are soulmates.
Italy is Special to Brooke and Ridge, but Will it Bring a Bridge reunion?
Using Italy as the backdrop for another possibleBrooke and Ridge reunionisn’t surprising. The couple had been on and off for decades, and the last timeThe Bold and the Beautifulwas shot there in 2023, Brooke and Ridge rekindled their relationship and got back together. Eric (John McCook) has been vocal about wanting Ridge to reunite with Brooke despite his engagement to Taylor. He even maneuvered a show-stopping piece for the beautiful blonde at the recent Forrester fashion show that represented what she wore whilethey filmed in Portofino. It got the attention of Ridge and everyone else in attendance, including Taylor. The dress was reminiscent of the one she wore during a special moment between the two, and it was clear they both went back to the same place while on the Forrester fashion stage.

They reunited before being torn apart again by the upset Hope (Annika Noelle) and Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) caused at Forrester Creations. Ridge felt he could no longer trust Brooke because of what happened, and he uttered some vile words about Hope, his step-daughter, whom he helped raise.
AsThe Bold and the Beautifulairs the storyline from Italy, there are plenty of things to look forward to. Nick and Taylor have been plotting his arrival in Italy because they know what Eric is doing. Ridge didn’t seem to think anything would happen and made it clear to Eric he was staying with Taylor. However,Nick wants to get back together with Brooke, and he is pulling all the strings to make that happen.

Italy holds special moments for Ridge and Brooke, but will they be enough to bring the couple back together? It seems that Brooke will play the game with Nick, allowing her “soulmate, Ridge,” to stew about his feelings for her. There are still many unresolved feelings between the two — that much was clear earlier this year at the Forrester fashion show.
Will it be Brooke and Ridge or Brooke and Nick?
Given the history of the storyline, the easy choice would be to haveBrooke and Ridge reunite. However,The Bold and the Beautifulmanaged to get Jack Wagner back in the role of Nick Marone, and surely they wouldn’t waste that opportunity. While Nick doesn’t get on the plane with Brooke and Ridge, he does end up in Italy.The Bold and the Beautifulpreview highlighted his attempt to get a boat while there. He is going out of his way to ensure thatBrooke ends up with him. Nick has attempted to tear Ridge apart at every chance he gets regarding the woman he loves. He returned to Los Angeles to get his girl and was happy to reveal that Ridge and Taylor had become engaged. He also moved to try and delay the fabric Forrester Creations needed by holding it on one of his boats because it came via Marone shipping, which was no coincidence.
Taylor has been Ridge’s second choice for decades. Now,she finally has an opportunity to put her family back together and will not let anything get in her way. The rivalry between the two women has marked some of the best moments onThe Bold and the Beautiful, and this storyline should follow suit. Taylor stayed behind while the Forresters and Brooke traveled to Italy. She is confident that Ridge will remain faithful, but there are doubts. Eric working overtime to get Bridge back together doesn’t help either.
When they return to Los Angeles, expect Nick to be there too. He is determined to win Brooke back and appreciate her the way she should be appreciated. It’s a bonus that, despite being half-brothers,Ridge and Nick hate one another. He knows it gets under Ridge’s skin when he gives attention to Brooke. However, his feelings aren’t for show. Brooke was one of his loves, and now that he’s realized there is no one better out there, he wants her back.
Whether Ridge and Brooke will reunite remains uncertain. This love triangle will likely be the big story throughout the next few weeks, as anything with Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) will be back-burnered. Wood was written out for her maternity leave as she is expecting her fifth child. The episodes filmed on location will air throughout the rest of July and into August. As July sweeps wrap up, the storyline will pushThe Bold and the Beautifultoward the next sweeps period. The focal point will once again be Brooke, Ridge, and Taylor, with Nick thrown in for good measure. However, this won’t take the heat off Finn’s (Tanner Novlan) search for answers about Liam’s miracle. ExpectGrace’s (Cassandra Creech) lies to be exposed, especially with Steffy away and Finn having time to focus on other things.
