Well, wonder no longer as, thanks to a post on theirFacebookpage, ITV have officially announced the release window for Season 3, as well as giving an exciting update on the future of the series asSeason 4 is confirmed. In the post available below, the caption reads, “Explosive news, Trigger Point fans! Series 3 hits your screens this autumn, bringing all the heart-pounding action you love. And just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, Series 4 is officially now in production!”

Fans will also be pleased to see Lana Washington herself,Vicky McClure,making the announcement, back suited and booted in her explosive ordnance disposal officer uniform. “I am on the set of Trigger Point 3,” McClure begins, adding,“We are having a brilliant time. We’re nearly wrapped.It’s very explosive in there, but I can’t show you. But what I can tell you is I’ve got a little secret.” The secret in question?“This is not the end. We are about to bounce straight into series 4, it is coming to you.I can’t wait to continue the story of Lana Washington and her colleagues, and the brilliant people that make this show.
