What’s ‘Spider-Man 2’ About?
Spider-Man 2gives players the chance to play as both Spider-Men,Peter Parker and Miles Morales, after the latter officially became New York’s newest web slinger in the spin-off gameSpider-Man: Miles Morales. While the two crime fighters are still struggling to balance their “normal” lives with their superhero reality, their partnership gets tested when two new villains come to town. These would beKraven the Hunter and Venom. The latter of which is voiced by late genre iconTony Todd. Venom’s presence also allowed Insomniac to tackle the classic Black Suit storyline for Peter. WhileSpider-Man 2wasn’t as universally beloved as its predecessor, the story took a lot of risks with its characters, just like the2018 masterpiece. When the sequel released in fall 2023, much was talked about the game’s mundane side missions that brought back into conversation the modern issue of the industry, “open world fatigue”. However, even with that, the improved combat, web swinging and great selection of unlockable suits still made Spider-Man 2 one of the best-reviewed games on PlayStation 5.The sequel was also released on PC earlier this year.
